# Workflow with Vault and PlantTools

This chapter describes how PlantTools configuration files must be handled in order for PlantTools to work with Vault

**Disclaimer: This is a work around till PlantTools can better handle its files in a Vault environment. The tasks described below should be handled by experiences users. The exception is the Checking Out and Unpacking**

This is a general description on how to handle PlantTools configuration files and it applies to all configuration files unless stated differently. However, in the following description we use some PlantExpressTools files as examples. There will be a list of file at the end with remarks on special treatment.
