# Unlinking P\&ID Inline Assets / Inline Instruments / Fasteners (3D)

This chapter describes how you can unlink Inline Assets, Inline Instruments, and Fasteners.

To unlink Fasteners you use **Unlink from 3D Object**.

Now the Fastener is unlinked and the red dot reappears.

When you unlink the remaining Fasteners it looks like this.

The Pipe Run Components like flanges and valves will be unlinked in the same way.

Now the flange is unlinked.
