# 3D Drawing nodes

This chapter describes the functions when using the context menu from a drawing node.

**Open** opens the drawing in read-write mode.

**Open Read-only** opens the drawing in read-only mode. This is typically done by PlantSpecDriven itself, when it needs data from the drawing which cannot be obtained by the P\&ID database.
