# Spec Driven - Lines & Symbols

This chapter describes the setup in the Wizard if you want to link your P\&ID Line Groups, Line Segment, Inline Assets, and Inline Instruments.

Before starting the Wizard make sure that you already setup a [Pipe Spec](/plant-tools/plantspecdriven/how-to-use/configuration/pipe-spec.md) and made the necessary changes to [P\&ID Properties](/plant-tools/plantspecdriven/how-to-use/configuration/pid-properties.md), [3D Properties](/plant-tools/plantspecdriven/how-to-use/configuration/3d-properties.md), [P\&ID Classes & Symbols](/plant-tools/plantspecdriven/how-to-use/configuration/pid-classes-symbols.md).

Remark: As mentioned earlier we use the term **Assign Catalog Data**, but it should actually be **Assign Pipe Spec Data**, because PlantSpecDriven assigns data from the pipe specs and not the pipe catalogs.
