# Report Configuration Files

This chapter lists the workflows and how the Report Configuration Files and it Layout files are handled in a Collaboration (BIM360 / **A**utodesk **C**onstruction **C**loud) environment.

This chapter is important only if the Report Files Location is set to **Project** (see [AutoCAD Plant 3D](/plant-tools/plantreporter/settings/autocad-plant-3d.md)).

If you create a new Report Configuration the following files are handled: 1.ReportConfiguration.Collection.xml = CHECKED OUT

If you edit a Report Configuration the following files are handled: 1.\*.rcf file => CHECKED OUT 2.\*.layout.22.2 => CHECK OUT 3.ReportConfiguration.Collection.xml = CHECKED OUT

If you close the Report Configuration Dialog the following files are handled: 1.\*.rcf file => CHECKED IN 2.\*.layout.22.2 => CHECK IN 3.ReportConfiguration.Collection.xml = CHECKED IN

<summary>Deleting a new Report Configuration</summary>

If you delete a Report Configuration the following files are handled: 1.\*.rcf file => DELETED This includes the removal of the \*.rcf file from the work folder as well as the removal on BIM360. 2.\*.layout.22.2 file => DELETED This includes the removal of the \*.layout.22.2 file from the work folder as well as the removal on BIM360. 3.ReportConfiguration.Collection.xml = CHECKED OUT/IN The file will be checked out first, then updated, and then checked in again.

If you import a Report Configuration the following files are handled: 1.\*.rcf file => CHECKED IN This includes copying the \*.rcf file to the work folder as well as adding it on BIM360. 2.\*.layout.22.2 file => CHECKED IN This includes copying the \*.layout.22.2 file to the work folder as well as adding it on BIM360. 3.ReportConfiguration.Collection.xml = CHECKED OUT/IN The file will be checked out first, then updated, and then checked in again.
