# Project Manager

This chapter describes the various options of the **Project Manager** tab of the Settings dialog.

The "Project Manager" tab defines if the PlantProjectManager palette options. Details can be found under [PlantProjectManager](/plant-tools/plantexpresstools/how-to-use/plantprojectcreate.md).

### <mark style="color:blue;">PlantProjectManager</mark>

#### <mark style="color:blue;">Open PlantProjectManager Palette on startup</mark>

If checked the PlantProjectManager Palette will be opened when AutoCAD Plant 3D is started.

#### <mark style="color:blue;">Close AutoCAD P\&ID/Plant 3D Project Manager Palette on startup</mark>

This will automatically close the AutoCAD Plant 3D Project Manager Palette when AutoCAD Plant 3D is started.

#### <mark style="color:blue;">Clear Cache</mark>

Clears cached files used by PlantProjectManager.

### <mark style="color:blue;">Drawing Properties</mark>

PlantProjectManager handles additional drawing properties described below. They are created by default when using PlantProjectManager.

Defines the drawing property in which the category of the drawing is stored in. This can later be used when defining the expression for the file name. The
