# From/To

This chapter describes the various options of the **From/To** tab of the Settings dialog.

The **From/To** tab is for setting up the From/To feature of PlantExpressTools. It calculates From and To values for PipeLineSegments, PipeLineGroups, SignalLineSegments, and SignalLineGroups. Details can be found under [Update From/To](/plant-tools/plantexpresstools/collaboration-workflows/update-fromto.md).

### <mark style="color:blue;">Properties for Pipe Line Segments/Signal Line Segments</mark>

Lists all properties which are used to store the From/To info in the PipeLineSegments/SignalLineSegments.

### <mark style="color:blue;">Properties for Pipe Line Groups/Signal Line Groups</mark>

Lists all properties which are used to store the From/To info in the PipeLineGroups/SignalLineGroups

#### <mark style="color:blue;">Include Signal Line Groups/Signal Line Segments in the update of From/To values</mark>

By default only PipeLineGroups and PipeLineSegments will be considered by the From/To function. Enable the check box if you want to include also SignalLineGroups and SignalLineSegments.

### <mark style="color:blue;">Dialog Preferences</mark>

#### <mark style="color:blue;">Show 'Pending Tasks for From/To properties' dialog</mark>

When opening a drawing for which there are pending From/To tasks a dialog will appear. The dialog can be suppressed and the selected option in the dialog will be stored under **Default is 'Open now'**.
