Also getting an overview of the User interface.
Open \& Close Depending on the settings for the SymbolsPalette, the palette can be automatically opened when starting Plant 3D (see [SymbolsPalette Settings](/plant-tools/plantexpresstools/settings/symbolspalette.md)). User Interface The User interface can be divided up into the left side (1) and right side (2). Shows the toolbar for the left tree structure. The buttons from left to right are:
\* Toggle Button to switch between classes and categories (see Categories)
\* Refresh Button (see Refresh)
\* Toggle Button to Hide/Show hidden P\&ID Classes, Folder Links, or Custom Classes (see Hide/Show Symbols & Custom Objects)
\* Toggle Button to Hide/Show Custom Classes & Folder Links (see Hide/Show Custom Classes & Folder Links)
\* Toggle Button to Hide/Show Class Type Symbol (see Hide/Show Class Type Symbol)
\* Toggle Button to enable/disable Edit Mode (Edit Mode)
\* Export Images Button (Export Images)

\* Buttons 1-3 to to change the Symbol Style (see Symbol Style, Size, Order)
\* Toggle Button to Hide/Show hidden P\&ID Symbols, Files and Custom Objects (see Hide/Show Symbols & Custom Objects)
\* Flyout Button to select the Ordering (see Symbol Style, Size, Order)
\* Toggle Button to switch between showing all P\&ID Class symbols or just the symbol defined under GraphicalStyleName (see All vs. Graphical Style Name)
\* Toggle Button to switch between showing the Symbols Name or the Class Display Name (see Class vs. Symbol Name)
\* Toggle Button to switch between Custom and original Display Names (Custom vs. Original Display Name)
\* Slider to change the symbols size (see Symbol Style, Size, Order)
