# Assemblies

The Assembly function allows you to create logical groups of P\&ID symbols and lines. This could be used for Assemblies, Skids, Package Units and so on.

Remark: You can also set the Assemblies to be updated when saving a drawing. See [On Drawing Save](/plant-tools/plantexpresstools/settings/on-drawing-save.md).
