# Assemblies

This chapter lists the workflows and how the files of the Assemblies function are handled in a Collaboration (BIM360 / **A**utodesk **C**onstruction **C**loud) environment.

<summary>Configurations Files for Assemblies</summary>

These are the files used by PlantLink 1.**Assemblies.xml** This file exist in each project (\[PROJCTFOLDER]\ACPlantTools\PlantExpressTools\Assemblies\Assemblies.xml). In the project, all settings from the Settings dialog are stored.

This is handled if the project doesn't exist in the work folder yet and everything needs to be downloaded from scratch. 1.Assemblies.xml => DOWNLOADED

When sharing a project with an Assemblies.xml file the following files are handled: 1.Assemblies.xml => CHECKED IN

If you open the PlantExpressTools Settings Dialog the following files are handled: 1.PlantToolsSetup.xml => CHECKED OUT

If you close the PlantExpressTools Settings Dialog the following files are handled: 1.Assemblies.xml => CHECKED IN 2.PlantToolsSetup.xml => CHECKED IN

If you select the Assemblies tab the following files are handled: 1.Assemblies.xml => CHECKED OUT

<summary>Create Assembly Classes and Properties</summary>

If you click on the Assemblies button the first time, the Assembly classes and properties will be created. This will check out the Plant 3D Project Setup, add/update classes add/update properties, check in Project Setup.
